Who they are
David Fravor was the Navy squadron commander who later testified about seeing a white, rapidly moving object during a November 2004 training deployment from USS Nimitz. His prepared statement recounts his visual encounter and separately relays information from shipboard radar personnel. He also identifies the infrared recording as the work of a later flight crew.
His firsthand account is central to the Nimitz entry and the 2023 hearing; it is presented separately from sensor information communicated by others.
