Dominique Callimanopulos
Cross-cultural researcher and Ariel School interviewer
Who they are
Dominique Callimanopulos worked with John Mack on cross-cultural research into reported anomalous experiences. Her 1995 essay describes their interviews with twelve Ariel School children over two days and explains the investigators’ interpretive approach. The publication offers a participant’s account of the investigation, distinct from the children’s original observations and from a physical explanation of the event.
Her essay gives readers a direct route into how the later Ariel interviews were conducted and framed by one of the interviewers.

Exploring African and Other Alien Encounters
Callimanopulos describes interviews she conducted with John Mack at Ariel School and places them within a wider cross-cultural investigation. The essay preserves their investigative perspective and interpretation rather than a physical verification of the children’s reports.
