Who they are
Edward U. Condon led the University of Colorado study of UFO reports and wrote its conclusions and recommendations. The project evaluated whether further UFO research promised significant scientific advances. Condon’s unfavorable overall judgment became an important institutional response, while individual unresolved cases and ordinary atmospheric research remained separate issues.
He connects the timeline to the scientific review behind the end of the Air Force’s Blue Book era.

Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects: Conclusions and Recommendations
Condon explains the Colorado study’s judgment that a large continuing UFO research program was unlikely to advance science. This conclusions section gives the project’s assessment, rather than resolving every case in the full report.
Report completed in 1968; later public book editions appeared in 1969. Linked NCAS transcription is a later reproduction.
