Martin Tajmar

Aerospace researcher and precision-thrust experimentalist

Who they are

Martin Tajmar is a coauthor of the Dresden team’s controlled tests of the proposed EMDrive. With Oliver Neunzig and Marcel Weikert, he examined effects that can mimic very small forces and reported no anomalous thrust within the tested conditions. His work illustrates how an unusual propulsion claim can be investigated through improved measurement.

The timeline uses his team’s null result as a case in testing propulsion claims.

High-accuracy thrust measurements of the EMDrive and elimination of false-positive effects

Tajmar, Oliver Neunzig and Marcel Weikert describe controls for spurious thrust signals and report no anomalous thrust in the tested configurations. The paper explains why thermal and electrical effects matter in small-force experiments.
