Who they are
Tycho Brahe was an astronomical observer whose precise measurements of Mars supplied crucial material for Johannes Kepler’s modeling. The timeline includes him through that observational contribution. His relationship to Kepler’s 1609 work shows how a new account of planetary motion could depend on an earlier observer’s sustained accumulation of evidence.
His measurements underpin the transition from geometrical expectations to a model constrained by planetary observations.
